Scott Natho

Scott has worked as a psychologist for over 26 years across Brisbane and regional Queensland with both government and private organisations. He has worked in a range of settings across inpatient psychiatric and hospital settings, as well as community outpatient clinics in the delivery of forensic mental health, drug and alcohol and general psychology services. He has also served on university ethic committees, in forensic mental health training roles and casual lecturing positions.
Scott has experience in the assessment and treatment of those in their late teens and adults presenting with major mood and psychotic disorders, as well as depression, anxiety and relationship challenges. Additionally, he also has experience providing such services to those with interpersonal challenges, substance use and gambling difficulties, as well as those suffering from intellectual and other developmental disabilities.

Scott works collaboratively with clients to complete holistic assessments and formulations which are used to develop individual treatment plans using evidence-based approaches and techniques, including Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Positive Psychology and others.
Appointments are available in the office and via telehealth (phone or video). Private fee-paying sessions are available (no referral is required but if you would like to claim a Medicare rebate you will require a GP referral and a MHTP) with fees charged on a sliding scale given income. Bulk billing is also available for concession card holders with a GP referred mental health treatment plan (MHTP).
Scott believes that all members of the community should be able to access contemporary psychological services as they need given the contribution of mental health to the wellbeing of the public.
