Justine is a clinical psychologist with over 10 years’ experience working with people from a broad range of backgrounds and with a wide range of difficulties. She has worked as a therapist, supervisor and researcher in university, not-for-profit, and private practice settings. She utilises a range of evidence based approaches in her therapy work, which is informed by therapy models including: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Justine strongly believes in fitting the treatment approach to the individual needs of each person she works with in therapy.

 

Justine has a special interest in working with the adolescents and adults who have experienced trauma. She has extensive experience in this area, working with adult survivors of child abuse, military veterans, emergency service personnel and refugees. Her other areas of interest include working with people experiencing anxiety and working with women in the pre and post-natal period. Justine maintains ongoing study, presently this is particularly in the area of mind-body healing for trauma with focus on the use of yoga and meditative skills for treating anxiety and trauma. She holds the following qualifications and registrations in Psychology.

Justine strongly believes that anyone can benefit from working with a psychologist and her goal is to provide a safe and collaborative therapy relationship to allow clients to work through any suffering and difficulties they are experiencing in their life.
